There are lots of variations of mice on the market these days. The Logisys Optical Finger Mouse is an ergonomic mouse that fits on your index finger, and is suppose to free you from moving your hand around unnecessarily as you switch from mouse to keyboard. Your thumb controls the button. Cost is about $19. Might check that out.
